Below right:  Sage Mist Iridized mouse

Sage Mist hasn't been produced since the early 90s.  At that time very few shapes were made, including the NFGS Peacock vases and Happiness Birds.  Our mouse is the first to have an iridized treatment.  All Sage Mist Iridized mice have been claimed.

Critter Corner

By Becki Ann Selby

Fenton did not produce any animal figurines for their own sales on a regular basis until 1978.  At that time the 5162 Bunny, the 5161 Swan and the 5163 Bird were introduced.  Read all about them   in this issue of The Fenton Flyer!

Just 'Cuz it Says Fenton...

By Anne Nelson

In every issue Anne shares ways to determine if a piece is mis-labeled as Fenton.

The pair of trophy-style vases (right) were advertised as "Pair 1930s Fenton Ebony Dancing Ladies Vases, 7" tall".  The vases were made by L. E. Smith.

The reamer shown below was made by the Federal Glass Co.

MA13_Just_Cuz_3_Persian_Pearl.JPG

The piece shown (left) was listed on eBay as "Vintage Fenton Perian Pearl White Stretch 9" Footed Bowl Flared & Crimped.  The shape determines it was made by Northwood.

Remember Tom's mantra, "Know your shapes!!"

Memories In Glass Ornaments

By Sharon Fenner

These "cookie cutter" shapes were made in 13 different shapes and 14 unique designs for Memories In Glass, a Tulsa, Oklahoma based company.  Each shape has a different Depression Glass pattern, and is made in a "depression glass" color.  Note the intricate detail on Mr. A. A. Bunny (right).  They were sold with the packaging shown below.  Most have the Fenton "F" in an oval and the "MG" logos.
