NFGS Exclusive Glass Still Available and BOO!!! Happy Halloween

On September 19, the Halloween Ghost will be available to members. It is Mosser made, Georgia Blue, designed and handpainted by Frances Burton. They are very limited, available on a first come/first serve basis, for $125.00.

We are Accepting Orders on a Special Piece!!!

This NFGS owned #8343 oval Opal vase is 8-inches tall and about 5.5-inches wide, making it a perfect vase for decorating. This year Frances Burton created this awesome scene of a Steller's Sea Eagle with an Alaskan backdrop. The scene encircles the vase. The attention to design is incredible.
We are accepting orders for this vase until September 29. The cost of the vase is $189.00, plus shipping charges.

Fenton and the Encore Glass Club

Dorothy Taylor was a carnival glass collector who wanted to encourage interest in iridescent glass that was popular in the earlier part of the twentieth century. She started the Encore club for fellow carnival glass enthusiasts in 1975.

Pre-Convention Event a Success!

Meet Frank Workman! Frank worked with Mosser Glass to offer NFGS members an opportunity to watch being made - both with the use of moulds by Mosser craftsmen and offhand by Frank.
|
Small groups of members were able to observe Frank creating offhand one-of-a-kind pieces. Frank had some pre-made items available in a silent auction. A couple pictures were captured of Frank making the vase shown below.

The NFGS Would Like to Introduce our Secretary/Office Manager, Staci Wilson

She resides in Parkersburg, West Virginia with her three children.
She enjoys outdoor activities: camping, swimming, and 4-wheeling, as well as traveling, concerts and festivals; plus sports, especially football.

Critter Corner

The 5253 Unicorn was introduced in 1991, in Crystal with a gemstone necklace called the Captured Dream Series (left). The Robin Egg Blue Unicorn is the first in a series of unicorns being offered by the NFGS.
