 Banquet Auction Absentee Bid Items

Each year the NFGS makes available to our entire membership, via absentee bid, several awesome Banquet Auction items.  For 2019 we have chosen four stunning one-of-a-kind pieces.  Included with your July/August issue of The Fenton Flyer is an Absentee Bid Form that may be used to submit your bid before July 23.  For more information see the article on the front page of the Flyer.

Banquet Auction Item A:  (Fenton) Ruby/Milk/Ruby 7.5" Cameo Vase; 'Cardinals in Winter', by Chris Carpenter; One-of-a-Kind

Chris Carpenter has created this awesome Cameo item using a three layer Fenton vase purchased from the Fenton Art Glass Company in 2012 while they were in the winding down process. On the front is a pair of cardinals amongst Holly leaves and berries, on the back is a single cardinal. There are several snowflakes floating about, plus beautiful banding on the top. In several area the vase is carved completely through, creating extra depth and detail. The pictures and my description don't do this vase justice. This vase is breathtaking!

Banquet Auction Item B:  (Mosser) #5123 Crown Tuscan Working Elephnt, 'Circus' by Kim Barley; One-of-a-Kind (NFGS mould)

Kim Barley has done what she does like none other - created an elephant with a whimsical 'Circus' design. Her attention to fine detail is incredible, from 'the Circus' on one side to the sad clown on the other, there aren't word adequate to describe it. It even has a jewel on top of it's head! I'll let the        pictures speak for me. Awesome!

Banquet Auction Item C:  (Mosser) Opal 12.5" Vase; 'Cardinals in a Magnolia Tree', by Michelle Kibbe; One-of-a-Kind

Making a statement, we have this huge canvas designed and hand-painted by Michelle Kibbe. Scrolled and dotted teal bands at the top and bottom perfectly frame the cardinals on flowering brances gracing the center of the vase. We have a pair of cardinals on the front and a male cardinal on the back. It would be a stellar addition to your collection!

Banquet Auction Item D:  (Fenton) #5162 Cameo Bunny; 'Bedazzled Daisies'; by JK Spindler; One-of-a-Kind

Adorable! describes this little Cameo bunny perfectly.  Robin has airbrushed some natural high-lights, then added a garden of daisies which she has bedazzled with jewels. With the sweetest face, this bunny wins the 'cuteness award' and would sparkle in your collection.
